Form vs. content. I don't actually arrange my own books like this (guess there's a reason why I'm at FIS) but I love the idea and effect.

I did have a patron one day come in and ask for a book - they did not know the author or the title but they remembered the cover was red.
Check out the internet children's library - i believe you can search by book color... - gord
I used to work in a bookstore and would often get requests for "the green one" or "the thick one with the picture of the dog or some animal on it". Tons of fun ...
I once organized my non-fiction books by size. It was very satisfying.
