This is a wonderful exhibit. Fresh and rich--hard to believe some of the objects were designed 50 years ago. The Ackermans marriage of life and design is so unusual. A wide variety of media sets them apart from other artists, from ceramics to mosiacs to tapestries to wood to cloisennes. They are truly iconic representatives of mid-century modernism and it's great to see this retrospective giving two very talented people recognition. I highly recommend a trip to beautiful San Diego for this terrific exhibition.
